PHconnect provides the order template functionality so that you can save orders for future use. If you frequently order the same product(s), you can save a template rather than re-create the order each time.
Templates contain standard information for line items and the order header. You can designate a template as either private or public.
A private template is accessible only for your own user ID. One example of using private templates is to save an order cart, when you need to log off PHconnect without taking the order submission process to completion.
Public templates are accessible by anyone in your organization. These templates are most useful for orders that you place repeatedly, because you can enter comments and other details once and they will apply to the order each time it is submitted, saving you time and effort.
NOTES: Your organization might have a standard way this process is used. Orders created using the Order from Quotes customer resource cannot be saved as order templates. |
NOTE: Begin this procedure after completing an order cart on the Place an Order screen. |
Click Save as Template for the order cart.
The Save Order as Template/Order Templates screen appears.
Type a name for the template in the Order Template Name box.
Click the appropriate button to designate the template as private or public.
Click Add Template.
The system transfers you to the Order Templates/Order Template List screen. To return to your new template, click it in the list. For more information on templates, see the online help on the Order Templates screen.
